The TRUE Vein system extends nearly 5 km across the Oatman district and is one of the historically richest gold systems in Arizona. Over 1.3 million ounces of gold were produced from the system at an average grade of 23.7 g/t – among the highest ever recorded in the district.
The mines were not closed because the gold ran out. They were shut down due to a fixed gold price and wartime restrictions in the 1940s. At today’s gold price, the mineralisation is far more economical to mine than it ever was when the mines were in operation.
Gold Road owns 100% of TRUE Vein and has already completed over 45 drill holes in the unmined Gap area between the historic mines, with promising results. An initial block model suggests a potential of around 40,000 ounces of gold in the Gap alone.
TRUE Vein represents potential upside for Gold Road, with potential first production in 2027 or 2028.
